First Time We Met. . .
Joe and I met in the spring of my senior year of high school in 2010. He was a Sophomore at Ole Miss and I was visiting a friend and considering attending Ole Miss in the fall. My friend, who was a member of the Ole Miss Golf team, introduced me to some of his teammates at the Ole Miss Golf house. As soon as I walked in the door, there he was -Joseph Tyler David. We immediately clicked and played ping pong together for hours that night. I found out that he was from Nashville, TN and one of THE BEST golfers on the team (he had a really big ego back then ;) We had a very good time but when the night ended we went our separate ways.
Six months later. . .
In the fall of 2010, I was a freshman in college and working at Chick-fil-A in Oxford. One Saturday morning, Joe walked in with his golf buddies and I quickly recognized him but it took him a second to remember me. When he realized we had met before, we began talking and a friendship began. He eventually asked me on a date and our friendship led into a relationship that lasted until the summer of 2011. We parted ways that summer and to this day, Joe says I broke his heart! And I truly had no idea!
Fast-forward AGAIN to May of 2015. . .
Joe and I had both previously graduated from Ole Miss and were pursuing our chosen careers. Joe moved back to Nashville and had started traveling and learning the craft of buying cars for Music City AutoPlex, where he still works today and I had just finished my first year of teaching in Pelahatchie, Mississippi. It was the beginning of summer and I was planning a trip to Nashville with some friends for a concert at the end of the summer. I text Joe, knowing he was still in Nashville, to see if he would like to meet while I was in town. From May to the end of July, we talked every single day! The night of the July concert came and I was more excited to see Joe than to attend the concert. Once we saw each other, it was like we had never been apart and we picked up exactly where we left off!
As for the rest of 2015, we spent that time dating long distance. I was a second year teacher in Mississippi and he was busy traveling for his job from Nashville.
In 2016, I was offered a teaching position at a school in West Nashville so I was thrilled to move!
